A 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 exploring how music and visual art are related to each other – using examples from various styles of music from classical to jazz, and the work of artists like Piet Mondrian, Wassily Kandinsky, and Chris Raschka. Join us to discover the long relationship of these two art forms and discover your own creative responses to music!

Follow the history of the classical guitar through music over the years in a 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 by Antara, exploring the different eras of Western classical music and moments where it finds inspiration from other art forms – ranging from Francisco Goya’s paintings to Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland.

𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗶𝗼:

Antara’s fifth birthday present was her first guitar. In the seventeen years since, she has never looked back. A classical guitarist, she has performed in solo and ensemble concerts at venues across India, and also teaches in community spaces. When she’s not practising, Antara spends her time as a programme associate at ThinkArts.
