This adaptation of Dalton Trumbo’s novel takes the audience through Joe Bonham’s tragic journey, a WW1 soldier who, after a grenade explosion, finds himself without limbs, eyes, ears, and mouth, contemplating life like the living dead. The story transitions to the 1900s, exploring a century marked by growth, violence, and loss. Joe fought in the name of liberty, democracy and his native land to lose everything. Now he questions what he’s been taught to dream of.
