Join us at Arthshila Santiniketan for a special film showcase on the theme of partition and textiles this month as a part of the ongoing exhibition ‘Shifting Identities’ curated by Archi Banerjee in collaboration with Deena Pindoria.

Migration caused by poverty, calamities, civil strife, and displacement due to development projects have made India a country with one of the largest homeless population in the world. The film argues for a broader and inclusive imagination that respects the fundamental rights of people and is rooted in the ecology of the land.

A documentary about memory and the partition of India. It focuses on a unique event but derives lessons that remain urgently relevant today.
