A multidisciplinary craft-art exhibition exploring India’s profound connection with water—an enduring force that inspires innovation and artistry. The experience weaves history, culture, and craft together through tactile and tech-aided installations, layered sounds, and luminous visuals. Water emerges as both a resource and a muse, whispering stories. The iconic pot symbolizes renewal, bridging the earthly and the divine, and reflecting water’s role in shaping material and spiritual practices. Portable storytelling traditions further trace water’s impact on human expression through painted narratives, bringing to life its role in shaping ideas, creativity, and knowledge across time.
Curated by Anjana Somany, with scenography by Aparna Nambiar and Abhhay Narkar of Vertex Inc, the exhibition brings together a constellation of voices: scholarship by Naman P. Ahuja, Yatin Pandya, Judy Frater, and Nina Sabnani, contemporary expressions by Made in Earth, Anuvad by Chhail Khalsa, Rhea John, and Harsh Verma alongside the craft innovations of Shama Pawar, Dhanalakota Rakesh, and Vijay Joshi.
Presented by Arthshila Delhi in partnership with JSW Foundation, this exhibition invites you to uncover the unseen, celebrating the fluid thread that connects India’s past, present, and future.
