Join artist Vijay Mhase in an introduction to Warli art. Understand the history and culture of the Warli community and their philosophy on art. Learn about the materials, inspirations, and compositions of the art form.

𝗩𝗶𝗷𝗮𝘆 𝗠𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 is a Warli artist who has been honing the craft for the past 23 years. He started painting in 1997 and has been trained through the lineage of Padma Shri Jivya Soma Mhase and Sadashiv Jivya Mhase. Hailing from the Palghar District of Maharashtra, his work has traveled far and beyond. He has been a part of demonstrations and exhibitions at Namaste India Festival, Mithila Museum Tokyo, and Kariya India Mela Kobe & Onagawa. He has also held workshops and exhibited around the country in places such as Lalit Kala Akademi New Delhi, Crafts Museum Delhi, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Manav Sanghralaya Bhopal, etc.
