The Three Seas band is a fuse folk music band from West Bengal & Gorkhaland with spiritual jazz, rock and reggae.

Featuring poetry in Bengali, Nepali, English and Hindi, The Three Seas music honours their diverse and distinct cultural origins and celebrates their shared passion for creating songs that resonate universally. Over a fifteen-year partnership, The Three Seas have released three albums and toured extensively throughout Asia, Australia and the UK.

The Three Seas offer guidance and practical tips on how to undertake intercultural collaborative music making. The focus is on communicating observations from their fifteen years of collaborative creative process, passing on insights into specific musical techniques from master players and offer interactive playing opportunities with the band.

Bio:
Dr. Matt Keegan is a saxophonist and composer from Sydney, Australia. A project leader of 30 years experience, Keegan has produced and released 8 albums that feature his work as a composer, arranger and soloist. He is the artistic director of the intercultural ensemble The Three Seas (IND/ AUS).

Hilary Geddes is an in-demand guitarist in the jazz and improvised music scenes. She was the 2021 Freedman Jazz Fellow.

Brendan Clark has completed his Bachelor of Music (Jazz Performance) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (University of Sydney) in 2013.

Raju Das Baul is a Khamak and vocal virtuoso from Santiniketan, West Bengal.

Gaurab Chatterjee is a renowned drummer based in Kolkata, India. He is a founding member of Bangla rock band Lakkhichhara.

Deo Ashis Mothey is a singer and multi-instrumentalist from Kalimpong..
