Arthshila Ahmedabad’s Film Showcase this week features ‘Dreaming Lhasa’ by Ritu Sarin & Tenzing Sonam of White Crane Films.

This feature film is about a filmmaker named Karma documenting the plight of Tibetans who fled persecution by the Chinese and settled in Dharamsala, the Dalai Lama’s exile headquarters in northern India. The film explores the state of exile and the issues of identity, culture, and politics affecting the Tibetan refugee community in India.
