Over three days spanning 18, 19, and 20 March 2022 (Friday – Sunday), Arthshila Ahmedabad will host the Artist talk, Book Signing, Pop-up library, and Zine-making workshop with Kaamna Patel of Editions JOJO, and Anurag Banerjee.
A talk by Kaamna Patel
Editions JOJO is the publishing imprint of visual artist and bookmaker Kaamna Patel based in Mumbai. Through her practice, Kaamna explores semiotics and the periphery of photographic representation. The JOJO library is a non-commercial public library that provides access to over 400 titles of photobooks from around the world as a resource for enthusiasts, practitioners, researchers, educators.

Zine-making Workshop
A workshop by Kaamna to understand about appropriation art & how to read images in a zine-making workshop using old newspaper clippings. The workshop will end with a Japanese four-hole binding technique and everyone will leave with a handmade zine.

A talk by Anurag Banerjee
Anurag Banerjee is an independent photographer from Shillong based out of Bombay. “I’m not Here” by Anurag is his exploration of the idea of home. It’s the journey of his transition from adolescence to adulthood. Through the evolving relationship with his parents, their dog, and the landscape of Shillong, “I’m not here” is the author’s search for his irrevocable condition.
