About the Talk:

Tsering Motup will speak about his ongoing research about the evolving form, materiality and functions of traditional Ladakhi kitchens in villages along the river Indus. Motup’s work also delves into the fading traditional practices of metal craftsmen of Chilling and Kaya, in the context of contemporary socio-economic changes as well as ecological degradation in a rapidly changing Ladakh.

About Tsering Motup:

Tsering Motup Siddho (b.1992) is a multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in Nimoo & Leh in Ladakh. Motup was born and raised in Ladakh, and completed a Masters in Fine Arts from Shiv Nadar University, Delhi.
