About:
 Using the Kaghazi Pairahan library of art, design, and photobooks, this workshop explores the building blocks of book design. After a brief introduction to key design elements, participants will dive into printed books to identify and discuss how these elements shift and adapt across different formats — understanding what makes a page work and how to approach designing one.

Rukminee Guha Thakurta is an independent graphic designer, teacher, and writer. Her work spans museums, artists, publishers, and collectors globally, and she’s a recipient of the Deutscher Fotobuchpreis. Her work can be seen at www.letterpressdesignstudio.com.
