About the performance-
DastanGo Syed Sahil Agha with his pupil will be performing ‘DastanGoi’ in a series of short stories. One of the stories will highlight the river Ganges, describing the various poetic nuances of the Water. He will be introducing DastanGoi to the audience through creative storytelling in a unique anecdotal style. DastanGoi is a 13th century lost artform of storytelling that Sahil Agha has been relentlessly trying to revive back in creative ways.
Syed Sahil Agha is a notable figure in the realm of Indian storytelling and performing arts. He is particularly known for his expertise in Dastangoi, a 13th-century Urdu oral storytelling tradition. He has played a significant role in reviving this art form. He has also rediscovered and revived other old forms of oral story telling such as QissaGoi and Jumlebaazi.
