DETAILS:

Date: 29 November 2024 | Friday
Time: 6:30 pm Onwards

‘Culture as a Battlefield: A Pedagogical Approach’ examines the interplay between culture and politics, reflecting on how cultural practices shape and are shaped by public opinion. Rooted in the Indian subcontinent’s history of colonization and socio-political shifts, this session delves into how creative expression serves as both a mirror to societal realities and a force that influences them.

Through the lens of curatorial practices and the visual and performing arts, the session explores the ethical considerations in selecting the presenting art, the nuances of curation, and the responsibility of practitioners in fostering critical cultural engagement.
