In this session, Sarang will share his learnings and experiences as a Type Designer. He will also discuss the development of fonts, the significance of script grammar, script tradition, and about achieving the right balance between aesthetics and functionality.

Sarang Kulkarni is a founder at WhiteCrow Designs and Co-founder and type designer at Ek Type, the foundry that specialises in developing single and multi-script fonts across Indian languages. Sarang has designed the Modak, Anek Gurmukhi, Gotu, and Baloo (Devanagari) Typefaces for Ek Type.
