Workshop to be led by: Nilanjan Das

Each residence in Santiniketan has a garden of some sort. Participants will be invited to create a miniature relief stamp [3 x 3 inches] reflecting their favourite flowers or fruits from their own garden. Participants will imprint the stamps on the postcards using ink pads. At the end of the event, they will exchange postcards to share their favourite flowers or fruits with others, and they will talk about their new friendship. How will they communicate in the future? Will they send postcards to their friends? This is what we will explore at our upcoming Relief stamp making workshop, GIFT A FLOWER, MAKE A FRIEND – to be led by Nilanjan Das. The workshop will begin with an exhibition walkthrough to give participants an idea of black and white Relief Printmaking.

Age group: 10 years to 18 years
