Dr. Ranjani Ramachandran is a well-known vocalist of Khayal in the North Indian classical music tradition. She specializes in the Gwalior and Jaipur gharana gayakis. She is a versatile musician equally well versed in other forms such as Thumri, Dadra and bhajans. Ranjani combines an active career as a performing artiste with contributions towards the dissemination of Hindustani music at various levels. Ranjani is a Ph.D in music and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Hindustani Classical Music at Sangit Bhavana, Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan in West Bengal. She has collaborated with ethnomusicologists in India and abroad and has participated in several interdisciplinary projects with visual artists.

Belonging to a family of professional vocalists, Sri Shruteendra Katagade’s tabla training began at the age of 4. He also developed an early interest in the idiom of folk instruments, such as the Dholak, Nakkara, and Duggi. Concurrent with his tabla training, he also gained expertise in the skill of tabla accompaniment. Since 2010, he has been teaching tabla at the reputed BD Somani International School in Mumbai. He is the creator and performer of the unique tabla narrative, “Talab Tabley Ki,” a monologue in the dastaan format of storytelling.

Dr. Chaitanya Kunte is a Harmonium player, composer, a Guru, as well as an expert in Cultural Musicology. He has widely performed in India and abroad. His Bandish-s are published in two volumes of the book ‘Raga Chaitanya’. Dr. Kunte is currently working as an Assistant Professor and Guru at the Centre for Performing Arts of Savitribai Phule Pune University. He is the founder director of ‘Dr. Ashok Da. Ranade Archives of performing culture’, Pune.
