Join us for the Opening and Exhibition Walkthrough with Prof. Percy Pithawala on Sunday, 08 October 2023 at 6.30 pm.

The exhibition attempts to decode and articulate a multitude of design processes and conceptual strategies inspired by cross-disciplinary influences from the allied fields of art, architecture, and design. Encouraging students to adapt lateral thinking processes drawn from cross-disciplinary influences has enhanced teaching/learning processes by ushering in a new synergy distinctly reflected in the freshness of ideas in studio and workshop project outcomes.

Prof. Percy Adil Pithawala is an architect, academic, and artist with over 30 years in academia and profession. He is a Gold medallist from M.S. University, Baroda after which he subsequently pursued a Master’s in Urban Design from Pratt Institute, New York with excellence honours. He founded The Red Studio in Baroda in 2018 with an objective to further the discourse in Design education, academia, and practice. Through The Red Studio Prof. Percy conducts several design workshops on Art and Architecture, Histories, and theories at institutes all over the country. In this session, Anjali will share the journey of her life and career, spanning over 15 years of personal and professional growth. Starting from her days as a design student, the audience will gain insight into her early aspirations, the challenges she faced, and the ebbs and flows of those formative years. Transitioning into the designer phase, attendees will learn about her creative evolution, skill development, and the notable milestones achieved along the way. The session’s highlight lies in Anjali’s entrepreneurial journey, where she will share the lessons learned, the mistakes made, and her exciting plans for the future.

About Anjali Mody:

Anjali, a serial entrepreneur with an unwavering passion for design, cultivated her artistic flair under the unparalleled mentorship of Interior Guru Pinakin Patel and the late Shri Dashrat Patel. After graduating with a degree in Industrial Design from The Rhode Island School of Design in 2009, she honed her skills in Providence and New York before returning to Mumbai in 2010. Over the past 13 years, Anjali has launched Josmo, a design practice, where she continues to serve as Founder and Creative Director. Her recent expansion to Goa, where she now resides, is a testament to her dedication.
