To Let The World In, Volume 1 is the first part of a two-volume film project that looks at a significant period in the history of contemporary Indian art from the early 1980s to 2012. The film features two generations of celebrated Indian artists who share recollections, reminiscences and concerns about their practice. This is the first film of its kind to be made in India, in a collaboration between an art historian and a film-maker who works with visual artists.
