The documentary offers an insight on the implications of a recent urban development project in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh through the perspectives of the city’s residents. The film sheds vital light on the evolving notions of modernity, current social and political climate of the historical city. It gives us glimpses into how individual citizens are impacted by decisions taken by the government functioning from far away.
The documentary was screened at the Dharamshala International Film Festival and won the runner-up prize for short documentary at the Jaipur International Film Festival.
