18 February to 4 March, 2018 | Parivartan, Siwan
The symposium brought together 15 International artists from 11 different countries, and engaged them in intensive workshops specializing in Ceramics, Graphic Art and Painting over 11 days. The International Artists Symposium provided an opportunity to numerous practicing artists from across the world to spend a fortnight in rural interiors of India, wherein they got to interact, work and learn from and with one another. The Symposium was flagged off with the inauguration of a Graphics Art Studio on 20 February 2018 at Parivartan by veteran Indian painter and printmaker, Padma Shree K Laxma Goud. The studio houses two etching and litho presses along with a 44-in digital printer that provide facilities for intaglio printing, surface printing, digital printing and silk-screen printing. The Art Studios aspires to create a hub in South Asia for practicing artists from India and abroad and also explore ways in which ethnic themes and local artists may find a forum for associating with their foreign counterparts.
