‘In Solidarity of 100 Years of Jallianwala Bagh Massacre’ programme commenced with a lecture by Prof. K.L. Tuteja. The massacre which gave deep shock to the people of Punjab and created reverberations in the country took place on April 13, 1919. Prof. Tuteja introduced its historical background and how this incident raised widespread revolt in the country. In his lecture he brought to the fore many hitherto unknown and interesting aspects of the event. He also shared Gandhi’s view on this incident. The Lecture was followed by the Songs of struggle by the members of Chaar Yaar group Shri Madan Gopal and Ms. Sumangala Damodaran accompanied by Shri Pritam Ghoshal , Shri Amjad Khan and Mr. Deepak Castelino.
